High speed chase leads to deadly crash in Colorado Springs
A man has died following a chase with an El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputy Thursday morning.
A deputy was trying to stop an erratic driver who was coming from the Falcon area. At one point, the suspect reached speeds of over 100 miles and hour. He then crashed while trying to turn from Woodmen Rd. onto Powers Blvd.
The Sheriff’s Office says it’s unclear if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
Ron Cisco was identified as the driver killed in the crash, according to a post by his friend on social media. That was confirmed Thursday afternoon by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office.

The Colorado Springs Police Department took over the investigation. Westbound Woodmen from Black Forest Rd. to Powers Blvd. and several on/off ramps at Woodmen and Powers were closed until 7:00 a.m.
