Windy weather out east, but quiet elsewhere – 3/6/18

TODAY: Skies will be mostly sunny today and the winds won’t be quite as strong. The Eastern Plains will be seeing Red Flag Warnings through 6PM today due to low relative humidity and wind gusts to 45 mph. Highs will warm into the 40s to near 50 in the lower elevations. Mountain cities will feel highs in the 30s.

TONIGHT: Skies will be mostly clear tonight and overnight lows cool to the teens. You’ll need to dress warm on Wednesday morning!

EXTENDED: The long range forecast looks fairly quiet until our next cold front moves in over the weekend. Ahead of this, things will warm up and become breezy once more. This means we could be seeing elevated fire danger by the second half of the week. Snow chances look minimal on Saturday because of northerly winds, but we will keep you posted as the event gets closer!
