Steve’s Real Food recalls dog food over possible salmonella contamination

Due to possible salmonella contamination, a company out of Utah is recalling some of its dog food which was distributed to 20 states including Colorado.

Steve’s Real Food is removing its 5lb Raw Frozen Dog Food Turkey Canine Recipe after the company was notified by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture that a sample was collected and tested positive for salmonella.

Fortunately, there hasn’t been any reports of illnesses caused by this product.

But if you have the food, some signs from your pet to watch out for include:

Lethargy Diarrhea Bloody diarrhea Fever Vomiting Decreased appetite Fever Abdominal pain

The batch affected has a UPC number of 6-91730-15303-8 and a Best By Date of 09/27/18.
