Man wanted on 4 felony warrants arrested in NW Colorado Springs

A joint effort by the Teller County Sheriff’s Office, agents with the Safe Streets Task Force and the Colorado Springs Police Department ended in the arrest of a man wanted on four felony warrants.

Gilbert George Rainault was wanted out of Teller County for Criminal Impersonation, Unauthorized Residency by an Adult Offender from Another State, Possession of Weapons by Previous Offender, and Theft.

Rainault was arrested on the northwest side of Colorado Springs on February 19 and is currently being held at the Teller County Jail.

On Tuesday, the United States Department of Justice obtained a Federal Arrest Warrant for Rainault for Federal weapons possession violations. He will soon be transferred into FBI custody.
