Breezy and mild today – 2/27/18

TODAY: We started the morning off on a gusty note, but thankfully, the strongest winds will subside by the afternoon. Gusty conditions persist on the Colorado and New Mexico border. That is where you will find Red Flag Warnings through the day. Gusts could be as high as 35, and when combined with low relative humidity values, fire could spread quickly. Highs will be in the 50s and 60s once again today!

TONIGHT: We will be mostly clear to partly cloudy overnight and our lows cool into the teens and 20s.

EXTENDED: Our next front moves in tomorrow, but it doesn’t look to bring us significant chances for rain and snow. This is thanks to some northerly winds. We will see chances for afternoon and evening showers before they taper off by midnight. Temperatures will only be in the 30s and 40s as this system comes through, so things will be feeling more wintry. Behind that we clear out and warm up into the weekend. This comes in tandem with more breezy skies.
