Colorado’s Bands in the Backyard canceled for 2018
Country music fans in Colorado were given the unexpected news on Monday that Bands in the Backyard would not be returning in 2018.
Organizers of the music festival posted the announcement to Facebook, saying in part:
“Regretfully, Bands in the Backyard 2018 has been canceled. We have decided to give the festival a year off.”
In mid-June of 2017, Bands in the Backyard, which is typically held in Vineland, Colorado in Pueblo County, hosted big names like Billy Currington, Thomas Rhett, and Kane Brown.
Immediately following the event, organizers were already hyping up 2018’s festival, offering camping passes and tickets on social media.
So, it is unknown at this time why the festival had to “take a year off,” but organizers said it is expected to return in 2019.
KRDO reached out to Bands in the Backyard but it has not responded.
