Spud Webb visits the Boys and Girls Club in Colorado Springs

The man that beat Michael Jordan, shares some words of wisdom with local boys and girls, “Discipline. Sportsmanship. I came from the same environment and they can make it too so that’s what they need to see,” says Anthony “Spud” Webb.

Spud Webb grew up in the boys and girls club and he attributes a lot of his success to lessons he learned there, “I probably would have been one of those statistics. The boys club means everything for me, I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the boys club,” says Webb

AT five foot seven, he is one of the shortest players in NBA history but he was also one of the most competitive during his twelve year career, “Just that drive, that want to compete no matter your size or economic background or color you are. You just want to play,” says Webb
