More storms before a hot weekend

Today: Showers are likely out of Colorado Springs with the chance to get a thunderstorm from 2-3 pm. Storms get stronger as they head into eastern El Paso County bring a chance to see hail. The Aspen Acres burn scar area and surrounding locations through Pueblo County will be under a flash flood watch from 12 pm until 8 pm due to passing showers. The eastern plains get hit with the heaviest thunderstorms of the day from 4-8 pm. High temperature for Colorado Springs is 88 with most other areas in the 90s down I-25.

Tomorrow: Small showers and a thunderstorm is likely across the high country after 12 pm. Salida and Canon City are likely to get a thunderstorm after 8 pm. Temperatures are hot for Colorado Springs in the low 90s and mid-to-high-90s for Pueblo. Winds are expected to be mostly mild with some 20 mph gusts after 3 pm.
