AFA swim team members barred from competition due to misconduct

Eleven members of the Air Force Academy swim team aren’t taking part in the Western Athletic Conference swimming championship due to misconduct.

That’s according to a news release sent out Thursday, which says the investigation into the misconduct is still ongoing.

The championship is still taking place in Houston, and the Falcons have won the championship for the past two years.

Information about the alleged misconduct wasn’t provided, and the cadets’ names weren’t released due to privacy act protections, according to the Air Force Academy.

The cadets aren’t allowed to represent the AFA at any external events due to the investigation.
