Colorado Springs Sky Sox want Fergie (and you) to sing National Anthem

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox might be fishing for a laugh, but if their Twitter campaign is successful, Fergie will get a second chance at performing the National Anthem in the Springs after her maligned performance at the NBA All-Star Game.

The Triple-A baseball team is hosting auditions March 3 to sing the Star-Spangled Banner at one of the Sky Sox’ home games during the 2018 season, and anyone can sign up.

So the team also extended an audition invite to the Black Eyed Peas’ singer after her rendition of the National Anthem drew confusion and laughs this past Sunday. It’s part of a Twitter campaign with the hashtag #FergiesSecondChance, though it’s probably not likely the singer will take the offer.

But if you want to belt it out at the ballpark, be ready for the audition in front of a panel of guest judges from 12 – 3 p.m. March 3 at the Chapel Hills Mall.
