Colorado Springs man sentenced to 12 years for boy’s falling death
After pleading guilty to manslaughter in December for the death of a 7-year-old boy in the Cheyenne Canyon area, a Colorado Springs man was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Kyle Clayton McClain was sentenced Wednesday, according to the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
McClain was with Kaivion Eleby near Gold Camp Road when Eleby fell about 100 feet to his death in March 2017.
A grand jury indicted McClain and found that the area where Eleby fell was an “obvious and apparent danger.” The grand jury also found that alcohol was a factor in the incident.
