Cold, fog and snow today – 2/19/18

TODAY: Its a weather alert day! Cold, snow and freezing fog are all in place today due to unexpected easterly winds. Models are indicating that snow, cold and cloud cover will be sticking around most of today. We will be very lucky if our lower elevation cities make it out of the 20s this afternoon. Higher elevations will be seeing more sunshine today and slightly warmer highs in the 30s. Any accumulations we see will be very light.

TONIGHT: Skies stay pretty cloudy with a few light snow showers and areas of fog still possible. Temps will be cold as lows cool into the teens and single digits. This could allow for refreezing on area roadways.

EXTENDED: Some clouds and light snow showers may linger through parts of Tuesday, especially over the mountains. Many areas look drier but temps remain cold. Highs in the 20s and 30s are expected. Dry skies return for the rest of the week with highs warming back into the 40s and 50s.
