2 teens seriously injured in rollover crash near Platte & Prospect in Colorado Springs

Two teens involved in a rollover crash in Colorado Springs were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries on Friday afternoon.

They were traveling in a Nissan eastbound on Platte at around 2 p.m. when the vehicle lost control and flipped near Prospect.

Westbound lanes of Platte between Institute and Prospect were shut down for several hours and reopened just after 7 p.m.

Colorado Springs police believe speed may have caused the crash, but it is still early in the investigation.
