52-year-old arrested for large marijuana grow in Fountain, Colorado
Combined efforts from multiple law enforcement agencies led to the bust of a marijuana grow in Fountain, Colorado on Thursday.
The Fountain Police Department’s tactical team aided Detectives from the Metro Vice, Narcotics, & Intelligence Division (MVNI) and Deputies from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office’s Rural Enforcement & Outreach Unit to conduct a search warrant at a home in the 300 block of S. Race Street.
While searching the property, authorities found 85 large marijuana plants growing in a detached garage and 15 plants in the living room of the home. They also discovered 5.2 pounds of refined marijuana that was packaged for distribution and two firearms.
Rafael Liriano, 52, was arrested for felony cultivation and distribution of marijuana and was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on $10,000.00 bond.
