New EBT site to open in Fountain

The Department of Human Services has a new location in Fountain.

The new EBT site complements other economic assistance services available at the location, including workforce center resources and economic assistance benefit eligibility services.

“This is an area of need because they have to travel at a distance not just a benefit to Fountain, Widefield, Security, and areas surrounding Fort Carson,” said Longinos Gonzalez, Jr., El Paso County Commissioner.

Families receiving food assistance or other aid can use the card like a credit card at eligible locations.

Until this site opened, families need to travel to the Citizen’s Service Center location for EBT services up on Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs.
