Changes on the Way 2-8-18

TONIGHT: Skies remain partly cloudy overnight with temps staying a bit milder. Lows drop to the 20s and 30s.

TOMORROW: Friday will serve as a transition day as an initial surge of cold air arrives cooling temps slightly. Much colder air will be felt over the Eastern Plains with highs in the 20s and 30s. Near the I-25 corridor, more sunshine is expected with temps still climbing to the 40s, 50s and 60s. A stronger surge of cold air pushes in Friday evening bringing falling temps and some low cloud cover containing the potential for freezing drizzle.

EXTENDED: Cold air overtakes all of Southern Colorado on Saturday with a storm system moving in bringing snow potential starting in the afternoon and lasting in to early Sunday. Snow accumulations look likely which could impact travel plans late Saturday and early Sunday. Freezing drizzle and freezing fog will also be a possibility with this storm. Highs on Saturday stay in the 20s and 30s. We will be slightly warmer for Sunday, but still cold. Stay with Stormtracker 13 for details on snow timing and amounts!
