Colorado lawmakers deny ‘Good Samaritan’ bill to become law

The bill created in memory of Eric Ashby, who disappeared while rafting in Fremont County, Colorado, has been killed by lawmakers.

The ‘Good Samaritan’ bill would have required anyone who saw someone in trouble to call 9-1-1.

In July of last year, Ashby disappeared while rafting with friends along the Arkansas River. He wasn’t reported missing until 10 days after the fact.

We are still waiting to learn why the bill died.
