Windy today with snow Tuesday – 02/05/18

Today: We have a wind alert level one in effect! That means we could get gusts into the 30s. In the mountains, we could get some gusts into the 40s! An incoming cold front today will keep winds breezy. This will elevate fire danger slightly, so be weather aware. Temperatures today will be warmer compared to yesterday! Highs will reach the 50s and 60s in the lower elevations.

Tonight: Late tonight, we have a slight chance for a few stray snowflakes in northern El Paso and Teller Counties. Lows drop to the 20s for many areas under mostly cloudy skies.

Extended: An area of low pressure will bring unsettled weather to southern Colorado Tuesday. This will drop temperatures to the 30s and 40s. It will keep winds breezy, and will spark some on-and-off rain and snow showers tomorrow as well. Little to no accumulations are expected. Temperatures rebound on Wednesday. We’ll be dry through Friday; however, this upcoming weekend offers some chances for more rain and snow. We’ll track it for you! Stick with us.
