Over 200 people to be laid off from call center in Colorado Springs

A call center in Colorado Springs will soon be shut down for good, putting 260 people without a job.

Startek located at 4455 Arrowswest Drive in the northwest part of the city is planning to close and lay off all of their employees by March 31.

“This was a very difficult decision to make and is in no way a reflection on our employees or the highly valued work they perform each day on behalf of our clients,” Startek spokesperson Michelle Tripp said.

This is all part of a nationwide company scale down due to a decline in revenues. This past spring, Startek shut down one of its facilities in Indiana, according to the Denver Business Journal.
