Windy with high fire danger – 01/30/18
Today: Today, we have a wind alert level one in effect – that means we could get gusts to 30 mph! When winds are combined with low relative humidity levels and dry fuels, we have elevated fire danger. Red Flag Warnings are in effect for areas along the I-25 corridor this afternoon. Avoid any outdoor burning! Today’s temperatures will soar to the 60s and 70s under partly to mostly sunny skies.
Tonight: Partly cloudy skies are expected overnight. Lows drop to the 20s and 30s. We’ll be dry overnight, and winds will die down a bit.
Extended: We may have to end up hoisting a wind alert tomorrow as we could still be breezy with a passing cold front! As a result, temperatures tomorrow will be a bit cooler, reaching the 50s and 60s. Thursday offers a minor chance for a few showers, mainly in northern Colorado. This upcoming weekend, we have our next chances for unsettled weather. We’ll track it!
