We’ll do it live: Don’t plan on recording Jack White’s Colorado show
Famous Rock & Roller Jack White doesn’t want you staring through a phone screen when he comes to the 1stBank Center in Broomfield this August — the singer announced this week that his upcoming tour will not allow photos, videos, or recordings.
White’s statement says the intention is for the concert to be a “100 percent human experience.”
“We think you’ll enjoy looking up from your gadgets for a little while and experience music and our shared love of it in person,” White’s statement reads.
But if you’re addicted to Twitter, don’t worry, you’ll still have access to your phone. Concert-goers will lock their phones in Yondr cases, which limit use outside of special phone zones in the lobby or concourse.
White says pictures and videos will be available to use on social media from the tour’s official photographer.
The tour is in support of White’s third solo album, Boarding House Reach, which will be released March 23. It kicks off April 19 in Detroit. White will be in Broomfield on Aug. 8. Tickets are available here.
