Fire Danger Continues Wednesday 1-30-18

TONIGHT: Elevated winds overnight combined with partly to mostly cloudy conditions will keep temps mild. Most areas will only fall in to the 30s tonight. If you’re planning to see the Super Blue Blood Moon, head out around 6:30 AM. A few clouds are likely to still be around just before sunrise.

TOMORROW: A Wind Alert Level One is still in effect as winds along and west of I-25 will once again reach 30 mph and higher. This is also where high fire danger will be again with Red Flag Warnings in effect from 11 AM to 5 PM. Skies will be partly sunny with above average temps. The lower terrain will see 50s and 60s with 40s for the higher elevations.

EXTENDED: A taste of winter returns by Thursday with a cold front bringing a shallow layer of cold air to Southern Colorado. This may bring areas of fog and freezing fog and some light wintry precipitation will be possible early. Cooler air filters in for the lower elevations with the mountain valleys remaining warmer. Highs will be in the 30s and 40s. Friday is warmer again with 50s and 60s and mostly sunny skies. Another storm system may once again bring some light precipitation for the weekend. Stay tuned!
