Warm, Dry and Windy Tuesday 1-29-18

TONIGHT: Quiet conditions continue overnight with partly cloudy skies and lows in the 20s.

TOMORROW: A Wind Alert Level One is in effect for Tuesday as winds will gust between 30-40 mph in to early Wednesday. The gustiest conditions will be found along and west of the I-25 corridor. Gusty winds, warm temps and low humidity will combine to cause high fire danger. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for El Paso, Pueblo, Fremont and Huerfano counties from noon until 6 PM. Burning should be postponed as gusty winds could cause fires to spread rapidly. Warm temps are expected as highs warm to the 60s and 70s for the lower elevations and 50s and 60s for the higher elevations. Skies will be partly cloudy.

EXTENDED: Temps will be slightly cooler on Wednesday, but still mild in the 50s and 60s. A cold front arrives late Wednesday in to Thursday cooling temps even further. This could also bring some small snow and even wintry mix chances to parts of Southern Colorado Thursday. Highs Thursday will be in the 30s and 40s. Quiet weather then returns for Friday before another storm system arrives in time for the weekend.
