Colorado Springs PD K9 gets bullet, stab-protective vest

A K9 with the Colorado Springs Police Department is now sporting a new bullet-and-stab-protective vest thanks to a non-profit in Massachusetts.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. located in East Taunton, MA donated the funds and an anonymous individual sponsored the vest and embroidered it with the words “Honoring those who served and sacrificed.”

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. was established in 2009 to help provide potentially life-saving body armor for four-legged K9 officers. The non-profit has provided over 3,700 vests to K9s nationwide.
