How about $160,000 a year for a career in serving burgers, fries, and milkshakes?

That’s what you can earn as a store manager at In-N-Out Burger, according to Business Insider, and many worked their way up from the kitchen. With the popular fast-food joint planning an expansion into Colorado Springs , it makes a career path in patties worth considering.

We still don’t know how many restaurants will be built in Colorado, but at least dozens of jobs are assured with the building of a distribution center in the Springs. That’s where the company will process the burgers and other supplies to be sent to restaurants in the area.

In-N-Out hasn’t set a date for its first store opening in the Springs, only promising that a restaurant would be built once the distribution center is built at Interquest and Voyager parkways. However, it’s unlikely you’ll be ordering a Double Double – animal style in 2018.

The cult-like burger chain — known for its secret menu that includes greased up fries with special sauce and grilled onions — pays its employees a starting wage of $13 an hour, and that might be the secret to long-term retention. According to Bloomberg , In-N-Out has one of the lowest employee turnover rates in the industry.

Stick with the company and you could earn more than the average tech worker in Silicon Valley (who earns $114,654 a year, according to Dice.com ) and triple the average for a restaurant manager. That’s for a position that requires no college degree or previous management experience.

That meaty salary would also put you in the top economic ranks in the Springs, which had an average salary of about $49,000 in 2016, according to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics.

If the money isn’t enough, In-N-Out was ranked the No. 4 best place to work by Glassdoor.
