Weather Alert Tomorrow – 1/20/18
TONIGHT: Clouds continue to increase tonight as our next cold front moves into the area. This will allow snow to start to pick up after midnight tonight.
EXTENDED: The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Teller County and A Winter Storm Warning for the Palmer Divide from tonight through the evening tomorrow. Snow continues through the first part of tomorrow, with the heaviest accumulations occurring from the mid-morning through the mid-afternoon. Winds look to gust between 40+ mph, especially in the higher terrain. Places here could see blowing snow and white out conditions. Slick and slow travel is expected in most places tomorrow morning and afternoon due to the cold temperatures. The heaviest accumulations will occur along the Palmer Divide (4-6″). Up to one 1″ can be expected for Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Canon City. Though accumulations will be light, we could see icy road conditions as winds could blow some of that snow onto the area roadways. Areas in the Eastern Plains will pick up a few inches through the day tomorrow. Snow tapers off into the evening.
