Update: Armed and dangerous suspect wanted in El Paso County

UPDATE: Officers at the scene tell KRDO that the shooting occurred around 8:15 a.m. Saturday morning, near the corner of Willis Drive and East Street.

According to investigators, a male victim was originally believed to have died, but was revived at the scene by first responders. As of 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, he is being treated for multiple gunshot wounds at a local hospital.

An additional female victim, was reportedly assaulted by the suspect, Christopher Michael Martinez, and was treated for minor injuries.

Deputies on the scene say Martinez is armed and dangerous, and was released from jail within the last week.

ORIGINAL STORY: El Paso County- El Paso County sheriff’s deputies are searching for the suspect in a homicide, on the 100 block of Easy St. south of Colorado Springs.

The suspect, Christopher Michael Martinez, is believed to be driving a blue or green Chevrolet Tahoe. He’s considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him, and call 9-1-1 right away.
