Police Now Have Shooting Suspect In Custody
The Colorado Springs Police Department now has the man accused of firing multiple shots at officers in custody.
Officials say Neal Joseph Arceneaux, 31, was arrested peacefully Saturday morning after shooting at police Friday night on the northeast side of town.
Arceneaux, is also wanted on numerous felony warrants. CSPD says the suspect is involved in multiple crimes within the 48 hours leading up to his arrest.
Officers responded to the 5600 block of N. Union Boulevard at around 3:40 p.m. to investigate a disturbance involving a gun.
This led to shots fired between Arceneaux and officers and a major shutdown of the neighborhoods in and around the area of Union and Vickers. Those living within the perimeter were placed on Reverse 911, and no one outside of the search area was allowed in for almost nine hours.
