Wind Alert Level One Saturday 1-19-18

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies with mild temps as lows drop to the 20s and 30s.

TOMORROW: A Level One Wind Alert is in effect for expected wind gusts in localized areas between 30-40 mph. This will keep mild temps around with high fire danger.

EXTENDED: Winter returns Sunday with a cold front bringing plunging temps, blustery conditions and some light to moderate snow accumulations. Snow will start in the early morning hours around the Palmer Divide and in Teller County. Snow will then spread south and east across Southern Colorado by the late morning and afternoon hours. Highest amounts are expected around the Palmer Divide and Raton Mesa areas. Stay with StormTracker 13 with the latest on snow totals and changing weather conditions for Sunday. Blustery north winds behind the cold front are likely to blow around snow and lower visibility over the Eastern Plains Sunday evening. Snow comes to an end by early Monday with seasonable temps and quiet conditions through most of next week.
