Beautiful day with changes this weekend – 01/18/18

Today: Get ready for another gorgeous day across southern Colorado! We’ll have mostly to partly sunny skies and dry conditions. Winds will primarily stay light. Enjoy the beautiful weather and get outside!

Tonight: Lows drop to the 20s and 30s under mainly clear skies.

Extended: Tomorrow, it could be breezy with elevated fire danger. A few gusts could reach the 30 mph zone, but because those conditions won’t be rather widely scattered and sporadic, we don’t have a wind alert in effect. It’s possible that we’ll need a wind alert for Saturday. That’s when we’re tracking gusts possibly in the 30s or 40s ahead of our next incoming system. As a result of these strong southwesterly winds on Saturday, there will also be some fire danger and relatively warm temperatures. Snow moves in overnight into early Sunday. Minor accumulations are possible Sunday with colder temperatures.
