Man pleads guilty to fatal hit-and-run in Fountain

The man who hit and killed Mario Wells with his vehicle in Fountain and then left the scene pleaded guilty on Wednesday.

Richard Brian Bitters will be sentenced in El Paso County court on February 9 for charges of leaving the scene of an accident involving death and attempt to influence.

Wells was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of South Highway 85 and Fontaine Boulevard in Fountain on August 5, 2017.
