Colorado ski season picking up after rough start

The Aspen Daily reports 13 percent fewer visits so far this season with Vail reporting a 10.8 percent drop in their visits.

“While we did see a little less traffic than last year, the storms that we had really helped with our terrain,” said Adrienne Isaac, communications manager at Arapahoe Basin.

One resort that is fairing well is Breckenridge, who has a high snow pack level overall.

Local shops started out their season with a dip in sales but have quickly picked up as the snow has fallen more in the high country.
