Weather Alert Day – 1/15/18

TODAY: We started the morning with low clouds, freezing drizzle and light snow. This caused some problems on area roadways for the early commute. Snow shower activity continues off and on through the afternoon. Be aware of slick spots on overpasses and bridges. Area side streets could also be icy. Highs will only be in the 20s today, so it will definitely be feeling like winter! Some snow showers will still be lingering for the evening commute, so be weather aware as you travel home.

TONIGHT: Our skies clear out tonight and bitter cold air sets in. Lows settle to the single digits in many places, with some locations even dipping below zero. Re-freezing will be a concern tonight.

EXTENDED: The long range forecast looks very quiet and dry. Highs slowly warm back into the 50s and 60s for next weekend before our next system moves in on Saturday. This looks as though it could bring us more chances for snow. We will be tracking it for you as we go through the week!
