Man, juvenile arrested by Colorado Springs police after robbery

Colorado Springs police say two people are in custody Monday after an armed robbery near an apartment complex west of Palmer Park.

According to CSPD, a victim reported that two men robbed him at gunpoint Sunday night near the Illinois Avenue and Fillmore Street. The only item taken was the victim’s car keys. The victim was also hit in the head and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The two men then reportedly fled into nearby apartments. Police investigated and learned the identity of the suspects.

One of the suspects, 24-year-old Richard Schulz, was taken into custody Monday. The other suspect, a juvenile, was also taken into custody. Their charges and bond information aren’t yet available.
