Marty’s Saturday Morning Forecast – Quiet Weekend For Most – 1/13/18

Today: There will be pockets of low cloud cover and patchy fog over the plains early this morning, then partly cloudy for most areas this afternoon. Chilly this morning, then warming to near seasonal averages with high temperatures in the 40s to lower 50s along I-25, 40s on the plains, and 30s and 40s over the mountains. A few snow showers may occur at times over the Continental Divide. We expect less wind this afternoon as compared to yesterday.

Tonight: Mostly clear with low temperatures in the 20s for most areas, but a few low lying areas may cool into the teens. The air may begin to warm prior to dawn over the higher terrain.

Extended: We will be a little warmer on Sunday, but the wind might be a bit more noticeable this afternoon. A cold front will slide over Colorado on Monday. The coldest air will remain over the plains to our east, but as the colder air slides up against the mountains we expect areas of low cloud cover, freezing fog and very light snow to develop. Right now it would appear our best chances for a little light snow would come Late Monday through early Tuesday morning. The air will cool into the 20s and 30s behind the cold front. We should warm noticeably through the end of next week, which looks mostly dry…
