Semi-truck crash on I-25 South of Fountain, driver taken to hospital

The Colorado State Patrol received a call at 5:44 Friday morning about a crash on Interstate 25 southbound just south of Fountain.

The driver was 36-year-old Rusty Vogt, who was heading from Florence to Westcliffe.Vogt was taken to the hospital and is being treated for unspecific injuries.

Vogt was driving a semi-truck with a trailer attached. The trailer broke in half and lost its load on the off ramp.

Colorado State Patrol finished cleaning the scene at 10:10 a.m.

Traffic flows in both the northbound and southbound lanes were not affected by the crash.
