Colorado Springs Fire Department warns of “whiteboard” scam

“The Colorado Springs Fire Department’s name is being used in a new scam involving the sell of whiteboards.

A company is saying that the Colorado Springs Fire Department will be distributing whiteboards throughout the community, claiming that the back magnet has “all of the life-saving fire safety tips that the firemen want to promote to all of the families.”

CSFD tweeted out on Friday, “CSFD has been alerted of a company trying to sell “whiteboards” in the name of “CSFD OR YOUR FIRE DEPT.” Not affiliated with #CSFD.”
