El Paso County deputies find over 200 plants at illegal cannabis farm

More than 200 cannabis plants were seized by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Thursday north of Ellicott and three people are now in custody.

Deputies tell us the illegal grow was found near Jones Road and N. Ellicott Highway. Deputies say the majority of the plants were found in an old warehouse at the northwest corner of the intersection. ( MAP )

It’s not yet known what led to the discovery. Deputies said crews have already found 230 plants, and more areas were still being explored Thursday.

The identities of the suspects in custody haven’t been released at this time.
