Do you recognize this Colorado Springs package thief?
Even though the holidays are over, package thieves continue to strike in Colorado Springs.
Luckily, more and more residents such as David Lipscomb are signing up for porch monitoring systems like “Our Ring” to catch the suspect in the act.
Lipscomb lives off Whirlwind Drive and says his camera picked up motion at 9:07 a.m. on Tuesday. The suspect is seen walking up to the front door, pretending to knock and grabbing the package on the porch. He then tries to stuff the package in his coat and walks back to his SUV and drives away.
The package was filled with custom-made Easter bunnies and finger puppets made by Lipscomb’s wife to go to a little girl. It was supposed to be picked up by USPS that afternoon.
If you recognize this man, you are asked to contact the Colorado Springs Police Department at 444-7000.
