Colorado Springs police: Kidnapping victim found safe

A 15-year-old girl is safe after being abducted following a carjacking Tuesday near Sand Creek High School in Colorado Springs, but police are still looking for an armed suspect.

According to CSPD, the teenager was found a few hours after the carjacking and has been returned to his/her family.

Police say they’re searching for a 2014 red Ford Explorer with a Colorado license plate of OWW 751. The occupants are said to be armed and dangerous.

One suspect is in custody, police said, and they’re looking for another suspect. Both are believed to be teenagers.

It’s not clear if the victim knew the suspects involved.
