A portion of Interstate 25 northbound was closed Friday morning for the procession of fallen Douglas County Deputy Zackari Parrish.
I-25 northbound from Castle Rock to Lincoln Ave was closed starting at 8:30 a.m.
The funeral was held at the Cherry Hills Community Church at 3900 Grace Boulevard in Highlands Ranch.
Parrish was investigating a disturbance at the Copper Canyon apartments in Highlands Ranch when he was fatally shot by Matthew Riehl on New Year’s Eve.
