Douglas County Shooting: How you can help

In the wake of the early morning shooting on Sunday in Douglas County, the sheriff’s office says it has received several requests about how to help out.

A fund has been set up through the Fallen Officer Fund of Douglas County Foundation in the wake of the shooting.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the fund is a Colorado 501(c)(3), tax exempt charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible under Tax ID #20-5599045.

The purpose of the Fallen Officer Fund is to provide assistance to Douglas County Sheriff’s Office members who are killed or seriously injured in the line of duty.

A GoFundMe was also set up for Deputy Zackari Parrish, who was killed in the line of duty on Sunday morning,

At last check the GoFundMe page has raised more than $50,000.
