First Cold Front Arrives Tonight – 12/29/17

Tonight: Lows drop to the 20s and 30s. It will be chilly overnight, so make sure to bundle up! Mostly clear skies are expected along the I-25 corridor; however, there could be patches of low clouds out east.

This Weekend: High fire danger lasts through tomorrow, with the high risk areas similar to what we’ll deal with today. A cold front early Sunday will welcome a blast of arctic air. This will impact much of the nation for New Year’s Eve as well. Make sure to layer up if you’re watching fireworks outside! Due to our easterly winds on New Year’s Eve day, there could be a few light flurries in the lower elevations. Temperatures on New Year’s Eve will dip to the teens between 10 p.m. and midnight. Temperatures will be slow to recover next week.
