CSP identifies victims in fatal Christmas Day crash on I-70

The Colorado State Patrol identified the three people killed in a head-on collision Monday on Interstate 70.

Two occupants of a Dodge minivan, Wheat Ridge residents Gerald Arnett, 86, and Betty Arnett, 96, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, 24-year-old Kyle Parker of Strasburg, was seriously injured and taken to University Hospital. His passenger, 24-year-old Katie Paul of Strasburg, was killed.

CSP says Gerald Arnett was driving in the wrong lane when his minivan struck Parker’s pickup truck around 7:15 p.m. near Tower Road.

On Christmas Day, three people died in a crash on I-70.

Colorado State Patrol told KDVR that the three died in a head-on collision at around 7:30 p.m. on eastbound I-70 at Tower Road.

The crash involved a Dodge pickup and a Dodge van.

A fourth person involved was taken to the hospital. His/her injuries are unknown.

No identities have been released.
