Line wraps around the block for free coffee in Colorado Springs

Workers braved the cold Wednesday morning for the opening of a new Dutch Bros Coffee. The popular coffee chain opened a new location on Austin Bluffs Parkway near Montebello Drive.

To honor opening day, the coffee shop gave away free 16 ounce drinks.

The line of coffee drinkers was wrapped around the block. Customers towards the front of the line waited upwards of 20 minutes in the drive-thru lane.

The new franchise owner, Mason Smith, said he’s was not surprised with the huge turnout.

“We have 99 workers on staff today,” Smith said.
