Cold blast ahead – 12/19/17

Today: Temperatures will remain above-average today, reaching the 40s and 50s across southern Colorado. We’ll deal with tons of sunshine once again. Winds should be light and conditions will be dry. Get outside and enjoy the relatively comfortable weather while we have! Big changes are ahead…

Tonight: Overnight, we’ll have mostly clear skies. Temperatures tumble to the 20s and 30s.

Extended: Tomorrow, winds will be slightly breezy. When you combine winds with low relative humidity levels, we’ll be dealing with elevated fire danger. Use caution! Temperatures tomorrow soar to the 60s in the lower elevations. It’s the warm before the storm! On Thursday, temperatures plummet to the 20s and 30s. That’s when we also have good chances for light snow. We’ll keep you posted as new information becomes available. This upcoming weekend, temperatures will be dangerously cold. Overnight lows this weekend will be dropping to the single digits – even some subzero temperatures! On Saturday, we also have a slight chance for some light snow.
