Pueblo investigators hopeful after possible evidence in Schelling case surfaces

Pueblo investigators are working to analyze new potential evidence in the Kelsie Schelling case.

Over the weekend, around 40 people scoured an area in Beulah on foot and horseback to look for clues.

Searchers were brought to the location based on cell phone pings.

The evidence turned into police included a cell phone.

Captain Eric Bravo with the Pueblo Police Department says the department can’t discount anything. He’s hopeful this latest search will create new leads.

Schelling was pregnant when disappeared on her way to Pueblo from Denver in February 2013.

Her boyfriend at the time, Donthe Lucas was arrested earlier this month for first-degree murder in connection with her disappearance.
