Colorado College Identifies School Safety Officer as Fatal Crash Victim

The man who died after crashing into power poles late Saturday night has been identified as Colorado College safety officer, Kevin Morgan.

Faculty, staff, and students were sent an e-mail Sunday afternoon regarding the fatal incident that KRDO was able to obtain. It reads, “We received a notice from Maggie Santos, Director of Campus Safety, that the driver was Kevin Morgan, a member of the CC Campus Safety officer team.”

The crash happened around 10 p.m. near Mesa Road and Glen Avenue in Colorado springs. It caused more than a thousand residents to lose power.

Morgan has been a safety officer at CC since 2009.
