Founder of pot social network MassRoots reinstated as CEO

The founder of cannabis social network MassRoots who was ousted and then sued by the company has reclaimed his job as the firm’s CEO.

The Denver Post reported Thursday that filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission show 25-year-old Isaac Dietrich was reappointed, and the interim CEO and three board members have resigned. Three new board members who Dietrich floated as replacements have been appointed.

Dietrich says his reinstatement didn’t require a vote because “everyone realized that I was going to win.”

MassRoots had filed a lawsuit against Dietrich, claiming he stole more than $250,000 from the financially strapped Denver company and engaged in “illegal drug use” and “improper sexual activities,” claims he has denied.

Dietrich says his reappointment will result in the dismissal of that lawsuit.
