Colorado Springs Police arrest 2 for Shooks Run murder

Colorado Springs police arrested two homeless men for the murder of a man found earlier this month at Shooks Run Park.

Police say Kenneth Palmer, 25, and Earnest Mims, 41, are responsible for killing Eugene Wildeman, whose body was found in the park on Dec. 3.

The suspects were found by police at a homeless camp along Fountain Creek near Dorchester Park in south Colorado Springs and were taken into custody Thursday. They both face first-degree murder charges.

No further details have been released and police say that this remains an active investigation.
